Simon Bohannon

Simon Bohannon

Starting as an Electronic Engineer at Pye TVT in Cambridge, Simon joined the legendary Olympic Studios when he discovered audio mixers. Moving to Whitehouse Studios in the early 80ís he worked with Duran Duran, Kiss and John Miles and recorded albums for Justin Hayward and Mond Cowie.

A spell as a freelancer saw Simon working all over London at Red Bus, Olympic and Whitfield Street before a trip to Livingston on the day Dave Bascombe left to record Songs from the big chair for Tears for Fears. 5 years and 4 studios later he joined Audio Kintics before being tempted back into studio life by Andy Hilton.

This lead to his eventual appointment as General Manager of Hilton Sound, the start of h2o and Totally Brilliant Software (both still alive and well) and the sale of the hire company to Dreamhire. H2o being the recording consultancy provided location recording services for Radiohead, the design and build of their flight cased recording studio and the use for the recording of OK Computer at Jane Seymours house near Bath and the design and installation of Mark Owens studio in the Lake District.

He was asked to consult on the installation at Sphere Studios and has been here ever since and is in charge of bookings and the day to day co-ordination of all things Sphere along with the odd spell as an engineer, tech and telephone man.
