SPHERE STUDIOS APPOINTS

Sphere Studios has announced the appointed of two key members of staff - Patti Nolder, who joins the facility as studio manager, and Ben Georgiades, who has been appointed chief engineer.

As studio manager, Patti Nolder is responsible for the day to day running of the Battersea-based facility, phase one of which officially opened for business at the beginning of this year.

Patti brings a wealth of experience to the job having previously worked for a number of top UK studios including Air and Westside. Most recently, Patti has been working alongside Brian Eno's wife Anthea Norman-Taylor, setting up a studio and arts complex in St. Petersburg, Russia.

Ben Georgiades joins Sphere after a five-year spell as engineer at Air Studios where he was involved with many of the top names in the rock, pop, classical and sound to picture genres. Among his credits are Sting, Elton John, All Saints, Oasis and Jose Carreras, while his film credits include the box office hit City of Angels.

Sphere director Malcolm Atkin says: "I am delighted to welcome Patti and Ben to Sphere. Their extensive experience and industry contacts will be invaluable over coming months. To have people of this calibre involved means that we truly have one of the best teams in the business."
